Message from the Director-Academic

Continuing Education is a lifelong learning process which meets the variety of needs of Industry, Business and the Community and includes skill training or upgrading of skills and knowledge through competence based education. Resour ces available in the form of buildings, laboratories, instruments, capability of faculty members, etc. can be put to use not only for our own students but also for industries, other professionals, other stake holders and for overall to the general public.

India is projected to have a skilled labour surplus of 245 million workers by 2030, mainly on the back of "Vast supply of working age citizens", even as most of developed and developing economics are expected to grapple with talent crunch at the time, says a study.

IIS objective is same as Industries are constantly changing. Continuing Education is required for workers to stay current with the latest developments, skills, and new technologies required for their fields. Overall, Continuing Education is considered a way for professionals to keep abreast of their fields so that they don’t lag behind.
